Laser Cutting + Etching

We bought a laser cutter to make custom parts for our robots, but when people saw what we were creating, they asked to use our services. Help our laser cutter live an active life.

Our primary machine is a 60 watt laser with a cutting area of 900mm x 600mm (35.4″ x 23.6″).  It can cut up to 12mm (1/2″) thickness. We can cut and etch most materials, including: wood, bamboo, jade, marble, glass, crystal, plastic, fabric, garments, paper, leather, rubber, ceramic, and other nonmetal materials.

Pricing

Unlike our competitors, there is NO SETUP FEE and NO MINIMUMS to access our services. Our pricing for all laser cutting and etching projects is $2/minute, plus the cost of materials.

To encourage the use of local maker spaces, Vancouver Hack Space members pay a discounted rate of $1/minute, plus the cost of materials.

To keep our costs down, we stock a limited menu of materials. If you are supplying your own materials, please include the specs in your project description.

How to Order

To laser cut your design, we need a DXF file from you. Upload your DFX file to your DropBox account and copy the file link into the form below. If we have all the correct information, we will provide you with a quote within 1 business day.
