Tagged: Makelangelo 3.2 Set up.
After updating my java. I was able to open the Makelangelo software. For a test I chose the Generate Art tab. From here I used the Fibonacci Spiral Fractal. Saved it to the SD Card. I homed the device. Enabled the motors. Chose my text file and off it went. Problem – the actuator seems to be operating in reverse. So the pen does not engage when is is suppose to be drawing. The actuator lowers, and the pen egages when it is not suppose to be drawing. All the connections seem to be correct as they are all color coded and matching at each connection point. After the motors stop running I tell the device to go home but it does not go back to its starting point.
Suggestions?
connect to robot with software.
open settings window.
click pen tab
swap values for up and down. test to make sure they are correct.
If you prefer, you can physically remove the horn that lifts the pen off the paper and move it, but this is more difficult.
OK……….That seemed to do the trick. There still seems to be an issue with homing the device. I will play with the setting. Thank you.
