Hi!
I’m having some issues with my steppers not responding to jog functions or the program at all. Any help would be much appreciated!! So far, I’ve:
– Read much of the forums, made sure my port is set on 60×1
– Done the stepper test, works well.
Here are my specs and a pic of my build.
– Arduino Uno
– Adafruit Motor Shield
– Nema 17 size 12V 350mA, 200 steps.
Any help or ideas would be much appreciated!
A few other details I missed:
– It does connect to the software
– My power adapter is 12V, 1000mA
Adafruit Motor Shield 2 is not officially supported. I can’t think of any reason off the top of my head why it wouldn’t work.
Do you get any jog at all? Can you raise/lower the servo?
Hi Dan! I don’t seem to get any jog but one of the motors does get hot when it’s idling connected to the program. I haven’t connected the servo as yet. Should I look at sourcing a V1 shield do you think?
Hi Stephanie, sorry for the delay. Motors should get hot because current is flowing through the coils.
if it doesn’t then it’s probably not connected. V1 has better support than V2.
