After a 20-30 minute draw, which the image clearly needs calibration for, I noticed that one Stepper Motor was extremely hot and the other was not.
It’s the NEMA 17 model. It’s been a solid performer and has certainly drawn for 100s of hours but no where near 1000s.
I’ve tried to see if the motor is rubbing or has any points of resistance.
It turns very normally in basic calibration such as making a square.
Any other ideas?

Are you using a rumba or the motor shield?
Motor shield.
Also discovering that when powered, does not turn freely- as if holding itself in place.
Hmmm, No VRef adjustment on a shield. I’m using a rumba and also noticed that steppers are in a hold status when program is active.
You can call … M18? M17? to disable the steppers. one of those two disables, the other enables. MUST enable before drawing or jogging. if disabled, nothing will happen. there’s also the Engage/disengage button, which sends the same command.
