Saving to SD

I just updated to 7.20.1
Looks great, but I’m confused by the “save to SD” options.
There is DXF (drawing format), SVG (vector graphics), and two ngc (gcode) options.
I assume that NGC is for using on the makelangelo (5)
Is there a difference between the two gcode options?
What situations are the dxf and svg used?Thanks!
