Dear Dan,
today, I tried to start the Makelangelo 3.2, but unfortunately I cannot let him draw.
Here you can watch my procedure: https://youtu.be/HdVaT9FYpx0
Please, could you help me?
Best, Raphael
2017-12-21 at 12:59 #15043DanKeymasterPlease use the makelangelo software to convert your DXF / SVG to NGC (gcode) format. There are also many great styles for converting bitmaps. I also answered on the youtube video so that Youtubbers can see the answer. Sorry for the duplicate responses.
2017-12-21 at 14:00 #15044raphmannParticipantI tried also with NGC-File, but it does not work. It hangs at 0.11%, but
it does not start to draw.In the display (Youtube-Video) you can see #-1
In another posting I read something about “#-1”. – So, my PC is on the internet,
but I can´t get a new UID. It stays always at #-1.In the Software, I can´t choose “Popular Driving Commands”. Also it´s not possible
to choose “Animation control”. The buttons are “grey”.🙁

today I tried it again. Now Windows 7 shows the message:
“Device driver cannot be installed. Contact the Manufacturer
to get help for installation. – Unknown device”.Is there a (windows-)driver for the device? Please, could you help
me?Best, Raphael
2017-12-24 at 03:35 #15070raphmannParticipant… I installed the Arduino-driver (Win 7) and some of the things are working now:
– the device (Arduino) is now listed in the Windows Device Manager (without exclamation mark)
– In the bottom line of the software I tipped in: UID 1 (now I can choose ID 1 in the Software
and the device is no longer “-1”
– “Popular Driving Commands” and “Animation control” are no longer “grey”But not everything works:
– the drawing is not right (it is displaced and the lines are sometimes like stairs)Does anyone know this problem? What can I do?
Thanks, Raphael2017-12-24 at 11:11 #15071DanKeymaster> lines are like stairs
I’ve never heard this description before. picture, please.

In each bottle I have 100 ml water and I used the configuration paper.
Do I need some weight at the pencil unit?2017-12-27 at 12:30 #15110DanKeymasterWhat does your counterweight look like?
2017-12-28 at 03:01 #15115raphmannParticipantFirst I used the wood-parts for the waterbottles (100 ml).
But there was too much friction. So I buyed two ball bearings and fixed them with wire at the
bottles. – Perfect! Now it works. -
