Largest Image Size?

I have a note from way back about the largest image size being 46 inches. (roughly 120 cm)
Can anyone confirm this or point me towards documentation? What happens at the larger size?
I want to build a semi-permanent display as large as possible.You can go larger if you like. You are only limited in the v1 by the length of the wires.
If you set it up like the v2 then you can go as big as you like.
