If you have access to a laser cutter, some design software like inkscape then you can follow these steps to make your own design much like mine.

My first customer for laser cutting. Woo! Farrell runs the Maker mobile truck in Vancouver and is a regular at the VHS. He needed a reliable, affordable laser cutter to make tiny bookshelves. He emailed the files in DXF format and they worked on the first try. I think it turned out great!

A couple of years ago I constructed my first big machine, a CNC router from a Build Your CNC kit. I recently sold it to make room for a laser cutter that better suits my scale and expertise. Richard bought it and sent me pictures of his first upgrades which are great.
