See a Transparent Makelangelo at DX3 in Toronto
Jenelle emailed me a set of pictures from the Dx3 Conference in Toronto, Canada. DX3 is all about digital marketing and retail and runs for only two days, March 11 & 12, 2015. What better way to advertise your business than a Makelangelo in the window, or a long exposure light painting? More pictures after the break.
What is that, 3/4″ acrylic? It must weigh a ton! Nice work getting it on-site without a scratch.
I love these counterweights! Silent, artful.
Interesting! Keeps the pen at the right angle and easy to remove. I wonder if it ever slips…
As you might have guessed, Jenelle works with MAKELAB in Toronto and had access to rapid prototyping tools like a laser cutter. She bought only the parts she needed to assemble her machine and invented her own version of the rest. How’s that for empowered by technology? I am very impressed.
